There is
no doubt that studying for, or achieving, an MBA improves
your employment prospects and the chances of promotion and
career progression.
Research
by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) shows that employers
reward their newly qualified MBA graduates with an immediate
salary rise of around 25%. And a survey of Open University
Business School MBA graduates revealed that 90 per cent of
them reported one or more promotions during, or on
completion of, their studies.
Studying
for an MBA is extremely hard work and is not a cheap option
so those who undertake the qualification tend to be
determined, driven, ambitious and committed. These qualities
are recognised by employers so an MBA is a valuable
qualification to have on your CV.
So why
study for your MBA with the
Open University Business School ? There are many reasons –
Ø
Many years of experience - we have been
offering the Masters in Business Administration since 1983.
Ø
A reputation for excellence – less than
1% of business schools worldwide have global accreditation –
AACSB, Equis and AMBA.
Ø
A portfolio of distance learning products
- our courses are for anyone with management experience who
is mature and internationally minded.
Ø
Flexibility - supported distance learning
is portable, cost effective and is both practical and
relevant to your job – you can apply new skills and
knowledge immediately.
Whether you are looking for a career
upgrade or you simply wish to widen your knowledge of the
world of business, the OUBS offers exactly what you need.
As a mature graduate with management experience you can go
straight on to the MBA programme. The one year Certificate
programme together with the Diploma is the open access entry
point for non-graduates or for those who are new to
management roles.
An MBA is
intended to provide people with the skills, knowledge and
management theory to be effective at senior level. The
ability to be a good senior manager must be innate, but a
quality MBA develops and encourages the trait and allows the
individual to blossom and fulfil their management potential.
After a
short period of decreasing interest in the qualification,
once again a record
number of students are taking the MBA, which is a much
sought after qualification, regardless of the economic
climate. When times are tough people often use redundancy
money or take out loans to study and when things are going
well they register as an insurance policy to maintain their
success.
The OU
Business School MBA gives its holder an advantage in
business, equipping them with the skills and tools to
develop and improve their business, manage their staff more
effectively and achieve career progression and promotion.
